Timothy Kent was born on June 8, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, USA, and passed away on April 7, 2023. He was a renowned Cuisine Chef, Chef Instructor, Restaurant Entrepreneur, and in later years was a Caterer by profession, Timothy was an inspiration to many in the culinary world.
He is survived by his life partner of nearly ~45 years, Robert F. Hare, and best friend of ~30+ years, Shawn M. Abate, as well as his sisters, Susan, Barbra amd Terry, He was preceded in death by his mother and father and brother, Eugene, Jeanne and Dean Kent.
Timothy and Robert shared a life full of love and devotion and were known for their mutual life long love of creative cooking.
After graduating from Lakewood High School at Franklin Boulevard, Lakewood, Ohio, in 1963, Timothy furthered his culinary education by attending the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu in Paris, France. He graduated in 1966, marking the beginning of a remarkable career in the culinary arts.
His hobbies included creative cooking, entertaining, home gardening, and advocating for LGBTQ political causes. Timothy's personality was best described as devoted, loyal, kind, caring, focused, considerate, and inspirational - a testament to his character that will be remembered by all who knew him.
Timothy's contributions to the culinary world and his unwavering support for his community will be dearly missed. His memory will live on through the countless lives he touched and inspired throughout his life.
