Tim was a mentor, friend, pal, buddy, comedian, advisor, instigator, and all around joy to be around. He taught me so much about being a leader and was the consummate role model. Any day I feel challenged or frustrated, I pause and think, WWTD. I then imagine his smile and how he would respond to the situation with humor.
He and I often talked about our Georgia’s and their lives at IU. He was so proud of all of you and loved sharing stories of your adventures together. I know he left a hole in your family, but also know his spirit is with you every minute of every day.
I wish the best for all and wish I could attend this event to celebrate Tim.

I had the honor of beginning my career at Mattel working for Tim as his executive assistant. Tim literally saved my job from a ruthless manager. You see Tim wasn’t my original boss, but I was the only admin left in the office late one evening to help him and another manager get a new flight and hotel during a Chicago snowstorm. After that day, he protected my job and even helped me build my career into an IT project manager. Tim was kind, loyal, positive, humble and a walking angel on earth. Recently, we reconnected and I was grateful for the opportunity to tell him in person how much he impacted my life. I have always fondly referred to Tim as my favorite boss I’ve ever worked for. He still holds the title.
On a lighter note, I mentioned to my then 10 year old son, Andrew, to address Tim as “Doctor” Hart whenever he visited the office and every time Andrew called him Dr. Hart, he gave him a quarter. Made me and my son chuckle every time. Tim is truly a great role model for us all. His memory lives on in so many in truly unique ways.
My deepest condolences to Barb, Georgia, and Jackson and the many friends and family who knew Tim.

Tim's 60th Birthday Celebration at Work
1
RE Video I uploaded....The camera works leaves a little to be desired. Here is Tim's 60th bday where we came up with a scene from an old James Bond film. What I loved about this was the turnout of his friends in IT. Everyone joined in. Unfortunately, what we did not capture on film was Tim hamming it up afterwards, acting like a feeble old man, begging to be fed birthday cake. He had me crying with laughter as the biggest, tallest kid in IT was trying to get a fork full of cake in Tim's mouth as TIm's head bobbed up and down. Tim stole the show, as usual. All of my memories of Tim Hart, bring a smile to my face.

Tim dropped by in late August for a nice visit, full of recollections (some even true !) and fun memories, as well as current events. He told us then that he had incurable cancer, but even then he kept a smile on his face along with the usual Tim Hart positivity in his voice and manner. Animated and funny, to the end and that's how I'll choose to remember him....that along with speed, but questionable hands ! Love ya, man ! Whitey

While at Mattel in the 2000’s I knew Tim as a people person who was well liked and regarded, beyond his academic and professional accolades, because he cared about the people he worked with. Tim never took himself too seriously. Competitive in the best way possible. I enjoyed hearing many ice hockey stories that he somehow could still manage to play into his 50’s. Hashing through work, any disputes we had were always settled face to face over a coffee or a beer after work, sometimes along with a veiled threat of what he’d do if he ever got me on the ice with him. I also know that he loved his family and home in Manhattan Beach.
Rest in peace, old friend. Deepest sympathies and love to the Hart family over your loss.

I was lucky enough to work with Tim at Ventura Foods during his tenure. Tim was a wonderful coworker and made such an impact at Ventura Foods during his time there. He knew everyone’s name, brought so much joy to others, and lit up every room he was in. Tim loved the holidays and dressed up as Santa every year with skits, pictures and funny banter with our CEO. Our holiday luncheons just haven’t been the same since Tim left the company. Tim also loved his job in the IT department and enjoyed figuring out solutions to problems. He once even spent hours helping me get photos off a corrupted disc. Tim loved his family so much and would update me often on their sports, jobs and college acceptances. He spoke so lovingly of his wife and was so proud of his kids and all that they had accomplished. Please know that Tim will be missed but he will live on infamy at Ventura Foods and in my heart. He was truly one of a kind. Sending much love and strength to his family.
