Timothy's obituary
Tim was born in Fontana, California on December 8, 1983 and lived in Glendora, California until his family moved to Nelson County in 1998. Tim graduated from Nelson County High School in 2002, and moved to Richmond to pursue a career in construction. Tim worked in many different roles, but found his calling in carpentry. After working in Richmond, he returned to Charlottesville and continued in construction, but also took on a job for SMG at John Paul Jones arena. Then in 2016 he started his own business, TJ Hamilton, Inc. Tim was an avid music lover, Redskins & LA Dodgers fan, and a UVA basketball & football fan.
In April of 2018, Tim married Ashley Sjostrom in Louisa, VA. He was the happiest when he was outdoors, working on a project, hanging out with his friends and family, watching his Redskins play, and just being at home with his wife and dog, Oscar.
Timothy is survived by his wife Ashley, his parents Don and Kathy Hamilton of Charlottesville; his brothers Kevin of Charlottesville and Michael of Chicago; aunts and uncles Leigh Ann (Eddie) Shellack of California, MaryBeth (Mike) Bradley of California, and Jim (Donna) Morrison of California; and cousins Ryan & Katie Shellack, Abigail & Olivia Bradley, and James & Patrick Morrison. He also leaves behind his grandmothers, Joan Hamilton of Charlottesville and Eileen Morrison of California.
Contributions in memory of Tim can be made to the Timothy Hamilton Memorial Fund. There will be a memorial held in Virginia tentatively in May 2021 (date to be determined), and then Tim’s ashes will be taken to California to be scattered.
