Although I have been out of Christian higher education for some time, I’ve remained in touch with a fantasy baseball group of which Tim was a long-time member. One of Tim’s greatest contributions to the group was his regular travelogues where he would describe in often hilarious detail the trials and tribulations of his ventures across the country. As a frequent traveler myself, I could relate to so many of the circumstances and characters that Tim met along the way. I looked forward to those, knowing that he was going to make me laugh every time. Although there will be no replacing Tim’s physical presence in your lives, I trust that the Fuller family will take comfort in knowing how well-loved Tim was and look forward to re-uniting with him in heaven.
So sorry to hear about Tim.  He was one of the hardest working and most conscientious colleagues I have known.  It was inspiring to see how much he cared about Christian colleges, and  about the students we were designed to serve.  May God's grace and peace to us in Christ be with his family.

I was saddened to hear of Tims passing.   His love for people and enthusiasm for how he made a difference in their lives characterized a life of genuine love and hope! He was a special man!  My condolences to his family and friends

Tim championed Christian College Education. He was a mentor, teacher, and friend and will be missed. I was blessed to have known him for most of my 25 years in Christian higher education and was fortunate to learn and work with him many times. He will be missed. Aloha a Hui Hou my friend.
Tim was a giant of a man in Christian college enrollment management, both literally and figuratively.  We shared notes about his upcoming NACCAP history as recently as last Thursday, He's why I'm retiring after 37 years in Christian higher ed--at the 1988 NACCAP conference he said that the profession needed people who would be in it for the long haul, and I've been here ever since.  Tim became a great friend over the years.  We were roommates at a NACCAP conference, he successfully recruited my elder daughter for Houghton, where she flourished, I stayed in his home on occasion, worshipped at the Houghton Wesleyan Church with him, had lunch with Tim and his dad at Ace's Country Kitchen in Belfast NY [been there, done that, got the T-shirt], gave directions to the Genessee Valley Canal, belly-flopped in my pool in California, connected me with helpful resources, attended several MLB games with me, was the initial StatBoy in our Cora Cora Cora fantasy baseball league, he consulted for the campuses I have served [including a strategic planning session at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel], and graciously filled the "evil vendor" role at conferences.  So many warm memories of our times together.  I wish I could attend the funeral, but my grandson's baptism is the next day in Iowa, and I think he would want me to be here.   Vivian and I send our condolences to the Fuller family.

Tim admitted me to Houghton, welcoming me into that learning community of faith. In my four years there, he was a constant presence at basketball games and source of encouragement. During the summers, the kids were at Houghton camps where I worked. His genuine, sincere faith was an example to everyone he met and an influence on my life. Though his passing brings sorrow, remembering his life well lived — especially his warmth and laughter — brings joy. May the Fuller family find moments of peace amid their grief at Tim’s passing.

What a great man with such a kind heart.  Always had an encouraging word!!  Praying for your family

Love in Christ

So sorry to hear about Tim’s passing. I always appreciated working with him and playing “noon-ball” at Houghton. Our love and sympathy to Carol and the kids. We still laugh at the fun we had with Jonathan and his friends in fourth grade class at the Houghton church. Blessings,  Dave and Lin Frasier
We have many good memories with Tim & Carol and will be there to carry on the memories. We’ll be representing Gordon & Candy, Jo & Steve, who can’t travel due to recent surgeries.

So very sorry at this time of loss.  Enjoyed Tim during out time in the NCFC choir.  He was a beautiful soul and talented bass singer.  He consistently shared a kind word.  Praying for the family members especially Carol and Johnathan.  May God provide the needed peace for the future!

What do I even say?

Tim Fuller. The best in the business, the one who probably cared the most, gave the most, and did the most.

Early in my time here at ABACC, Tim invited me to his office to brainstorm about taking ABACC to new levels. I remember those few days vividly. And I remember telling my Board, “That was the funnest meeting I’ve ever been to!” On top of being fun, it also kicked off the first concerted effort for ABACC to take charge of our brand. And take charge we did, all because of Tim.

Fifteen or so years later, Tim was planning to come to Grand Rapids to spend another two days with me to talk about the next steps for ABACC’s brand and mission, how we could expand our reach, what we might do to serve an even larger audience and make even more of a difference. I was so looking forward to those two days with Tim. It’s hard to believe I’ll never again get that chance this side of Heaven.

Losing Tim is a loss for us all. His absolutely brilliant insights have benefited so many of us and our organizations and institutions. He changed the world for so many people. His work directly affected the lives of the students we serve, and he did it with such joy and wit. Tim was an inspiration for everyone who wants to make a difference before going Home.

No one will ever fill his (literally) giant shoes. Tim was the most “one-of-a-kind” there could be. There will always be a “Tim-shaped” hole in this world.

I hope all of us who had the absolute joy and privilege to work alongside Tim will apply his determination, joy, dedication, wit, and servant’s heart to everything we do—just like he did—and that we will strive to continue the work he cared so much about.

Our prayers are with Tim’s wife, family, and friends. This world will never be the same, but it is much better because of him.

Tim was a leader and a legend in advocating for Christian higher education. We traveled in similar circles for close to 40 years, and I will miss his friendship, his thoughtful words of wisdom, and his counsel.

Ironically, I got to know Tim when he hired me to consult (about financial aid) at Houghton, 30+ years ago. Since then he has consulted many times here at Bethel, including a stint as our interim enrollment leader. And I've had the privilege to work for and with him over the last decade. We shared a passion for doing surveys of our peers in Christian schools. It was a great honor when a colleague labeled me as "the Tim Fuller of financial aid".

Thank you, Tim, for being a great boss, colleague, and friend. I'll miss your smile, wit, and humble spirit, and your passion for improving Christian higher education.

Tim embodied what it means to be a Christ follower ... humility and leadership by serving.  I remember Tim playing on his class basketball team at Houghton, the big man in the middle with hands like vice clamps.  I often wondered if he could have played with us on our collegiate team.  Well done good and faithful servant.

I am sorry for your loss. I live in the neighborhood and loved to chat with Tim as I walked by when he happened to be outside. Always a kind word can from him, and his smile would brighten a cloudy day. Sending prayers to all. Cherish the memories.
Tim sang bass in our church choir and it was indeed a privilege to be a part of his music ministry. What a special man. If you family carry on half of who he was, you will be successful. I feel a huge void in my heart so I can't imagine the depth of your grief. Love and prayers to you all.
Tim was a great resource during my years in enrollment management.  He contributed so much as was a mentor to so many across our Christian Colleges.  He will be missed.
