Time Traveler…..

We realized from the start 

that the time we spent together 

was just a gift from up above 

and was never meant to last forever..

In the still of the night 

He came to fetch one of His sheep

In our hearts we trust that He knows best 

and pray your soul He keeps…

Slowly Gods arms descended 

from the mountain top

to provide for you a cradle 

that only He has the strength to rock ..

So forgiving and merciful 

His love is repeatedly understated 

but not once has He failed to retrieve 

a living entity that He created…

Everyone who has come this day 

is a person you profoundly affected 

and those who possess a memory or two 

holds a monument that you erected..

The Lord has chosen you our friend 

and we have but one regret 

that you were just a weary time traveler 

who now embarks on another trek…

Never mind that life was not always kind 

and I’m sure we would all concur 

that we judged you not by what you did 

because we loved you for who you were…

Sleep this day our friend, sleep !!

In paradise with the King of Kings 

and all the angels this day rejoice 

cause we know that they have your wings

We have come to say farewell dear friend 

and from our hearts we iterate 

that we are thankful for everything you’ve been

You were a man of many hats and they were all upstanding, courageous, funny, admiring, uplifting and most importantly real!!! You and I had a few conversations and I will carry those encouraging words always with me. Thank you for listening, Thank you for caring and Thank you for being my Uncle. Michele ' Russell and I are truly heartbroken  in the loss of Timmy. He was an amazing person with a heart of gold and a beautiful smile.
