So extremely sorry for your loss. I only met Tim within the past year or so, through work. He was a go-to resource when something wasn't working. You'd think this would have become annoying, when a client only reaches out with problems. But Tim always made my team feel like a priority, and you could instantly tell he was a good guy who just wanted to help. He was never anything but upbeat, optimistic, and helpful. And by the end of a call, he'd have my team laughing about what had been major frustrations. If he was 1/10,000th the same person at home,... I just can't imagine your loss. So truly sorry. I imagine a major motivation behind his hard work was wanting to provide the best for his family. He must have loved you all very much. Praying that you can find peace, always remember the good times, and treasure the time you shared together.

As one of Katie’s closest friends since childhood, I have no good words to make any sense of this news. Growing up with Katie since middle school, and being her college roommate and lifetime friend, I was a witness to Katie looking for true love since our teen years. When she and Tim met, it was love at first sight and a perfect match! Tim and Katie are the Role Model couple with a wonderful history of memories from the very first moment - and they built their beautiful life together with Colin and Lauren.
Tim was so incredibly kind. He always smoothed everything over with his easy smile and perfectly timed jokes. Even when I attended family functions, showing up late and frantic, and even running over their newly built fence, he made me feel at ease and made me laugh and smile. I was so anxious and upset I had ruined the new fence, but Tim, with his laid-back voice and cute smirk, made me feel it was ok and he would fix it. That it wasn’t a problem and he was not angry with me. Wow! So few people have this quality these days…. To make the person who messed up feel ok and forgiven.
What a terrific man - in all aspects. Tim possessed the kind of character traits I hope I can instill in my two sons as they grow up.
This is an epic loss. I have no words to share that can express the heartache and sympathy I feel for my friend and her family. Tim was taken too soon. We will surround his family with love and support moving forward - and I believe Katie and Tim, as soul mates, will be together for eternity as time passes. My deepest sympathy goes to Tim’s family and friends.

Tim was truly a smart, caring, fun individual. I often went to him with work items and am so happy I continued to stay in touch after I left Optum. I keep thinking I should reach out to him but am so sad I can no longer do so. My heart feels for his family. He will very much be missed. He was a very special person.

My heartfelt condolences to Tim's family. It was an immense privilege to work closely with him during my time as a CSM and later on the reporting team. Tim served as my director, and from the very beginning, his unwavering dedication to supporting his team was profoundly evident. Our conversations often revolved around sports and family, reflecting his genuine interest in the lives of those around him. To know Tim was to experience his steadfast support and commitment firsthand. He consistently went above and beyond, embodying true dedication and care. His absence leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who knew him. He will be profoundly missed. May we all hold our loved ones a little bit closer, always keeping Tim in our hearts.

Tim made an impact on everything he touched. The ultimate go-to, fixer, jump in and find a solution guy. There was no challenge too big, no call for help that came too late. Tim was the kind of person who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. I remember countless occasions when Tim would step in to help without hesitation, always bringing his wealth of experience to the table. His wisdom was a guiding light for many of us, steering us through challenging projects and complex problems with ease.

No matter how stressful the day was or how tight the deadlines were, you could always count on Tim to lighten the mood with a perfectly timed joke or a witty remark. Those are just some of the comments coming from people who knew you and worked with you at Optum. But the main theme running through all of it? You cared so much about the people. They all saw it and appreciated you for it. Sure, you knew your stuff. You got the work done. But what people remember most is the WAY you did the job.
You were always willing to jump in and help. And always with compassion, humor, professionalism. It's really hard to put into words, but I want you to know you mattered. You made a difference. I wish you were still here. Still can't quite believe that you're not. We miss you. Rest in peace.

Everyone knows at Optum that when I give you a nickname you are so special to me- "Timmy" was quickly coined 6+ years ago when I had the pleasure of becoming friends with him. Our Timmy was always the 'go to guy that knew everything' and we had countless laughs, jokes, and memories working on projects together. He will always be missed and remembered.
