While Tim and Maureen lived in Michigan we spent a lot of time at a family cottage at Higgins Lake. So many fond memories of skiing and sailing. What stands out in my mind is the night Tim and my husband Jim had a contest over who could eat the most of a very spicy hot enchilada dish. There was a lasagna pan size. Each one would take a serving challenging each other as the laughs continued to grow. We were surprised at each turn. I don’t remember if anyone won, but I remember all the fun and laughs. We loved it. Fondly remembered and sorely missed.

Tim was a selfless, smart, humble and honest individual that was always be there to help others endlessly. We had met through work, but Tim addresses me as a friend. He was a brilliant and wonderful individual and is an inspiration to us all. I will definitely miss all the stories/knowledge/experience he had shared with me.
My sincere condolences to his family!

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Tim. He made a difference to so many and his influence will live through the people he interacted with. He helped shape the Leica organization and taught us that we can be the best version of ourselves even during challenging times. Tim, we will always be thankful and in your debt.
My condolences to Tim's family, friends, co-workers and the survey community he touched.

Maureen, Nessa & Emma – So sorry for your loss, hard to put into words the impact Tim had on me and so many others. I worked with Tim at Leica - he was always there for me and would pick the phone up anytime to help. Tim's was the top person in NAFTA on Infinity Leica Software, and when G4GR opened our Houston office, Tim came down and put a class on, literally the paint was not dry yet. The class was packed and and the end of the class we had to book another class as everyome wanted to send others from their office to experience the class through Tim. As exceptional as Tim was at training and support, he was a better person . There was one time we had a loss in our family and Tim was there for me and took care of support issues- he truly was a guardian angel, and will always remeber Tim as a close friend and respected colleague . May memories and tributes provide some level of comfort during this difficult time. Jeff

Maureen, Nessa & Emma – thank you for sharing Tim with us! His time working with so many people was a tremendous benefit to Surveyors across the country. He always had an inquisitive mind and was one of the most intelligent people I’ve ever known. Tim never let me down when I needed his help, not once. He was reliable beyond belief, incredibly knowledgeable and knew just when to insert a joke or a relatable past experience. Our collaboration times were always a gold star on the calendar and I’m happy to have told him “These are my favorite days to go to work!” Tim proudly spoke of what his family was up to or where the next trip was planned. This showed that no matter how far work was from home that family was always first in his heart and on his mind.

From the very beginning of our relationship together at Wild Heerbrugg Instruments way back in the early 90’s Tim & I worked well together and became life long friends. His Support was constant and without question and he made my job easier. He will be missed always but never forgotten. Rest in peace Tim!

Tim was the most brilliant and one of the finest men that I've ever know. A gifted problem solver, an incredible hand draftsman, surveyor and friend. I credit Tim with helping me to obtain my surveying degree from Ferris State by selflessly tutoring and teaching me, a guy 5 years his junior that had never worked for a surveyor before. It was important to Tim that I fully understood a problem no matter how much time I needed from him. Tim had the gift of teaching and the ability to break things down so they made sense in the real world. More importantly, Tim was selfless, kind and humble man, a quality not often seen in brilliant people like him. I've been in the surveying business all of my life with some measure of success and with no one being more impactful to me than Tim Kerr. Not to mention he made a mean potato pancake.

I had the honour of working with Tim for many years. His caring nature made him more than just a colleague, he was a mentor and a great friend. I will miss his stories of the many adventures he had while on the road, but even more so, the friendship and thoughtful advice he was able to provide on so many occasions. You will be missed.
My condolences to Tim's family.
