Tilford Jackson Christian 77, of Roanoke VA left this earthly home to move
into his Heavenly home on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Roanoke
Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Christian was born in Tennessee on September 28, 1939, a Son of the
late Burton and Sally (Arnold) Christian. Mr. Christian was retired and
formerly employed by Morrow Equipment Company in Manassas, VA.
He is survived by his life partner of 30 years, Sue Cox of the home; his son,
Doyle Christian and his wife Mary of Manassas, VA, and his daughter,
Delores Dyer and her husband, Chris of Wilmington, NC; Three
grandchildren, and two Great Grandchildren; as well as One brother and
Two sisters; along with many nieces, nephews, and special friends. A
Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at
Oakey's Funeral Home Roanoke Chapel; 318 W. Church Ave., Roanoke,
VA; visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In Lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to The American Cancer Society.
