Thorson "Thor" Lammers

Thorson W Lammers, age 31, died in Rapid City on February 22, 2025, from internal injuries. Thor is survived by his son Liam. Thor is also survived by his parents, Michael Lammers and Candice Estes, and his brothers, Ezra Shane Baade; Conan (Adriane) Lammers; Schuyler Lammers, Rapid City; and numerous nephews, nieces; Zeus & Hera.
Thor attended Rapid City schools and graduated from Central High School. Thor played intramural sports such as hockey for Rushmore Thunder, basketball for YMCA, and soccer for the Black Hills Rapids. He also played baseball for Harney and Timberline.
After finishing school, Thor moved to Oregon for a few years, where he became an expert botanist. Thor also worked with his brothers at Lammers Concrete for three years, a job he loved dearly. Thor was currently attending Oglala Lakota College and was near finishing his bachelor’s degree in business administration.
Thor struggled and succeeded in fatherhood. Liam and Thor shared time together and their love of hockey, fishing, and skating. Thor also coached Liam’s soccer and baseball teams.
Thor was faithful to his family, not afraid to fight for what was right, and was a fierce, fierce friend. Thor lived his life to the fullest and was larger than life at times! He also gained many friends along the way. Thor was an avid Raider and Avalanche fan. Thor was a singer/musician. His hobby was constructing authentic Native arrows.
Many memories were made outdoors through fishing, archery, hunting, and paintball. He shared his love of hockey and paintball with his son, who now plays hockey for the Rushmore Thunder. Thor found success after graduation in many post-secondary programs.
Thor will be escorted to his final resting place at Mt. View cemetery by Liam, Shane, Conan, Schuyler, Tyler, Courtney, and JJ.
Until we meet again in the stars, Thor.
