Thomas's obituary

Thomas G. Yaremko, 67, of Minneapolis, MN died unexpectedly on March 25, 2023 in an accident while vacationing in Oceanside, California. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Tom was born on September 15, 1955 to Alexander and Anne Yaremko in Philadelphia, PA. Tom attended Central High School and graduated in 1973. Upon graduation, Tom attended a vocational art school and worked as a graphic artist for a brief period. Soon thereafter, he began working for the United States Postal Service in Philadelphia. In 2001, Tom moved to Minnesota and continued his career with the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement in 2015. Anyone who knew Tom, knew that he was exceptionally kind, caring and loving. He had an immense passion for music, animals and activism and was always a source of humor. Above all, he loved his family.

Tom is survived by his life partner of nearly 23 years, Carla Cerra, as well as his children Ali and Zhahira; stepchildren Eric and Rachel; sisters Daria, Anne and Alexandra; and his beloved nearly 15-year-old black lab, Poppy.

Tom’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say. Contributions in memory of Tom can be made to MusicLink Foundation, Grey Face Rescue & Retirement and/or the ACLU. There will be a memorial service held at a later date in Minneapolis. In the meantime, please consider posting on the memorial website. https://everloved.com/life-of….
