In Memoriam: Thomas Delvin Wyatt, born on

March 8, 1938, in Harlem, New York, peacefully

departed this world on December 26, 2023. He was

the beloved son of Curtis Wyatt and Florence Bonner (Wyatt) and the youngest sibling to Charles and Veronica Wyatt. Thomas lived a rich and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy that extends through generations. In 1957, he embarked on a journey of service and honor by joining the Marine Corps, where he successfully graduated from Paris Island, South Carolina. His commitment to duty was a testament to his character and resilience. Following his service he leaned on his culinary skills until he found a place in his heart for driving semi truck throught the US. Throughout his life, Thomas found joy and solace in the embrace of family and the rhythm of different cities. From the vibrant streets of Harlem to the historic landscapes of Baltimore, Maryland, and the Southern charm of Dinwiddie and Richmond, Virginia, he carried the spirit of each place with him. A devoted family man and practicing Muslim, Thomas leaves behind a loving family consisting of five children, Florence (Pat), Maria (Rea), Michael (Toni), Delvin and Sabrina, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren, close friends and a world of Wyatt and Bonner Cousins Aunts and Uncles he loved dearly. His dedication to family bonds was a cornerstone of his life, and the impact of his love will be felt for generations to come.Granddad had a passion for music, particularly smooth notes of Jazz. Miles Davis and John Coltrane were among his favorites, and the melodies of these jazz legends filled his life traveling with rhythm and harmony. His eclectic taste also extended to modern sounds, with a fondness for the iconic Wu-Tang Clan. An aficionado of simple pleasures, Thomas delighted in the sweet indulgence of fudge ice cream. The joyous moments shared over scoops of this delectable treat became cherished memories for all who had the pleasure of joining him. As we bid farewell to Thomas Delvin Wyatt, let us remember a man whose life was marked by love, laughter, and a profound appreciation for the beauty found in music and family. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may the echoes of his legacy continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
