Lynn passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 at the age of 80, having spent his last day surrounded by family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Murray and Helen and his brothers Jim and Robert. Lynn is survived by his brother Richard, his two daughters Stacey and Annelise, his grandsons Thomas and Logan, his grand-daughter in-law Bethany and his great grandson Taika.

Lynn was born and grew up in Welland, Ontario. He spent his early career in Labrador, Newfoundland working at the Iron Ore Company of Canada and then moved to London, Ontario with a young family to attend the University of Western Ontario where he obtained his Structural & Civil Engineering degree.

Having an entrepreneurial spirit Lynn went from coal mining to a fresh pasta business and then finally to opening his own engineering firm, Granite Engineering Corporation in the late 1980s. Throughout the next few decades he built his business in the Lower Mainland creating long lasting friendships with builders and developers.

Lynn was a beloved brother, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He made a profound impact on everyone in his life, much more than he probably realized and he will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

No funeral is planned, but a private family celebration of life will be held next week. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in his name to the Royal Columbian Hospital Foundation, New Westminster, B.C. – much appreciation to the wonderful staff there who took such great care of him in his final few months.

The world is a slightly dimmer place without his presence, but we know that he is home with God now and made whole again.
