Tommy's obituary

Thomas Evan Trainor Sr., 33, of Garfield, NJ and Media, PA, passed away in his sleep on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Tom is survived by his loving fiancée, Freya Miles, and their three sons, Algiz & Joseph Chiocco and Tommy Trainor Jr. He is also survived by his parents, Joseph Trainor and Vonda (nee Sample) Trainor and his brother Michael (Julia).

Tom was born in Media, PA on March 25, 1990. As a child he was extremely active and loved any sport that involved a ball. He also would enthusiastically reenact scenes from movies. He was a gifted artist, who could sketch, draw, paint or play a musical instrument with great ease. In his teen years, big wheels and bicycles were no longer fast or loud enough, so he migrated to dirt bikes and quads. Later he moved onto motorcycles and cars. His latest bike was a Harley Davidson that he rode with others in a motorcycle club.

Tom was a proud and loving spouse, father, brother, son, nephew, grandson, and cousin. Freya and their sons meant the world to him and he proudly shared pictures of them and their adventures. As a young man he had a pit bull named Ryder, whom he loved dearly. His family also had two dogs, Bella and Pugsley, with the latter being a regular greeter at his store. He enjoyed being connected with his family and friends and would message those whom he loved with funny stories and heartfelt songs. All who met him were amazed by his enthusiasm and joy for life. He was an extremely giving person who willingly shared whatever he had with whomever he met. He would also, without hesitation, defend anyone whom he loved.

Tom graduated from Penncrest High School in Media, PA in 2008 and spent many happy years developing an electronic cigarette business in Garfield, NJ.

Plans for Tom's service are still ongoing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made through this funding site to honor Tom’s memory and support his family.
