Personal note from Toby's Family

Toby was a Saskatchewan boy who came to the Pacific Coast and fell under the spell of the mountains and the sea. He was generous and kind to everyone and took a genuine interest in the lives of the people he met.

He leaves a legacy of love and devotion as a husband to Heather (Blakemore), father to Brendan and Trevor (Alexander), father-in-law to Tina (Liu) and Terry (Han) and brother to Bud and Kathy (Alexander). Just months before his death he was blessed with the birth of his first grandchild, Louis Callum Alexander. Above all it was the relationships in his life that he counted as his successes.

Beyond friendships and family, Toby's love for the game of golf is legendary. As he grew older and faced increasing challenges to his health, he still kept a smile on his face and a golf club in his hand. He leaves behind many friendships forged on courses around the lower mainland, in particular the Burnaby Mountain Golf Course, which was his second home. We think of him now, putting under a blue sky on an expanse of green, at peace.

Toby died May 3 from a heart attack. He will be greatly missed by family, friends, and golf buddies alike.
