I met Tom when we both volunteered at Samaritan House in Denver. I've tried to locate him through the Internet on and off over the years, but couldn't recall where he'd moved to in Texas--until tonight, when I found a letter from him postmarked December 12, 1990. Bless him. He was a kind and generous soul. No doubt he continued to live a live of purpose and service until the end.
Dear Robert P, Jennifer and Robert W and family - I was so sorry to hear about he passing of Tommy. He had such a cheerful, kind and generous spirit. He had a creative and playful side too, and wrote cards with the cutest illustrations. He loved his work at St. Vinny's Kitchen because he loved feeding and caring for others. He loved the Sisters of Divine Providence the very same way, especially for what they shared of themselves with him. I loved visiting and talking with him. He shared his faith so easily. Rest in Peace, Tommy. You are sorely missed. Pray for us.
So sorry to hear of Tommys passing. He had a kind soul & a loving heart. He always made an effort to keep in touch with my father, his Uncle Patrick (McNicholas) which meant a lot to him. May he rest in peace🙏
