Thomas's obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Scruggs, who passed away peacefully at home on March 1, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Thomas was born on October 10, 1938, in Los Angeles, California. In 1960, he married the love of his life, Marilou Rippey, and together they built a beautiful life, beginning with his service in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965, where he was stationed in Plattsburgh, New York.

Following his military service, Thomas joined the family business, Ralee Engineering, in the aerospace industry, where he remained until his retirement in 1997. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who cherished time spent with his loved ones. Thomas found joy in fishing, woodworking, and sharing laughter with family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilou; his children, Scott and Amy; his grandchildren, Ryan, Jake, Jeff, Meagan, Matthew, and Alisa; and his great-grandchildren, Airoh and Gabriella. His love, kindness, and wisdom will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on March 24, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Hillside Community Church in Rancho Cucamonga, California. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to www.adonaifamilies.org (a non-profit assisting families who have a child with cancer) in his honor.
