Your laugh was infectious!! And you always had a bright smile and walked with a purpose!!

I LOVED your imagination with costumes on Halloween. Always the highlight for me!!

We will truly miss you!

Tom and I went through Basic Training together in the fall of 1961, Lackland AFB, Texas.  We ended up being assigned to Plattsburgh AFB, New York, and worked in the same office for around three years.  It was in the spring of 1962, that Tom kept asking me to come to church.  I finally gave in and went just to make him happy.  I became a regular attendee at the Bible Baptist Church, located just off the base.   In August 1962, I married Jannon (high school sweetheart).  We lived in Plattsburgh, and attended the Bible Baptist Church, where, later that fall, I came under conviction and accepted the Lord.  If Tom had not kept after me, I hate to think of what direction my life might have gone in.  Thank you brother.  We will meet again.

Tom was a great brother  Always ready to help people no matter who it was.  Our lives together when we were on fishing trips and building model airplanes and the competition of flying them after we built them was some of the highlights of my life.. You will be greatly missed my brother. not only by me but everyone that ever knew you.  Rest in peace Tom until we meet again.. To all of your family, Thank you for taking such good care of Tom..If ever we can help, Please Marilou know that we are here..

To our Tommy.  You will be so missed. You were so pleasant all of the time and oh so good and helpful to any one around you..Always giving of yourself.   I will say that I am the only one brave enough to go to the bank with you while you were dressed in all of your Halloween costumes over the years.  You made Halloween fun at the shop.  To Marilou and the kids, you could not have been any more available for Tom. Thank you so very much for taking such good care of him.  We love you all. Tom was a great brother

You will be missed Uncle Tom. You taught me so much in my career and I will always be thankful for your wisdom and patience. I remember anxiously waiting every Halloween to try and guess what crazy costume you would come to work in.

You are in a better place and we all remain blessed that you were a part of our lives.

Rest in peace my friend

My deepest condolences go out to the Scruggs family. I did not get to meet Tom in person. Over the last year, Amy has become a treasured friend. It’s been an honor to see Tom and Amy interact. The Unconditional love and support shown and shared has impacted me greatly. Tom, was an incredible family man, fighter and fisherman. Rest in peace Tom.

I never had the opportunity to meet Tom in person, but I truly fell in love with him through the beautiful moments he shared on Facebook. I watched every video—his gardening, baking, and even his karaoke—and I couldn’t help but be drawn in by his warmth and joy. My deepest condolences to the family. You were blessed with such a wonderful father. Amy, you are a true testament to the incredible man he was. May God carry you through this difficult time.

Our Uncle Tom will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.  He had a beautiful spirit and a smile that lit up a room.  And a "Scruggs" sence of humor that brought joy and laughter to everyone .

Our deepest condolences and love to everyone:  Don, Donna, Ted (and from heaven Doris and Danny)

I met Tom in 1978, when I began working part time at the family business (RALEE Engineering) while in college. Over the next twenty years I was blessed with more memories than time would permit me to share. Tom was one of many very special individuals that embraced, supported and mentored me. We even shared extracurricular activities such as softball, which he was a great competitor and teammate. Tom always had a positive attitude and enthusiasm beyond words. I cherish my friendship with him and his family, and will always remember him as a kind, sincere and good man. God bless you Tom, and to the Scruggs family my sincere condolences and appreciation for your kindness and support. God bless Tom!

Aunt Marilou, Amy and Scott you have my deepest condolences and prayers for the Lord’s comfort. I know it is so hard to say goodbye in this life and you will miss him, but I believe fully that he is very much alive and with his Lord and Savior Jesus. He is well aware of his families love for him. May the Lord graciously grant you the peace that passes all understanding.

God Bless You

Chris

I only knew your dad through the videos you shared, but he seemed like such a kind soul that loved you dearly. How awesome it must be to know you gave him the best last days anyone could ask for. I'm praying for the family.

Amy you are a wonderful daughter and that means you had a wonderful DAD.  Only got to know him for a short time but I will always remember our Arizona Tour and the great halibut he gave me.  I'm sure he's watching over you now.  All the best to you and yours!!

His smile worth a million. I mean how could you not smile with you both. What a joy he brought, wherever you went. Thank you for sharing his life with all of us. You did it perfectly. So much love and devotion, all while deep down your heart was being torn apart. You share the ups, and downs. You’ve helped many.  He was a human song bird. Fly high sir and keep those songs going. Listen to the wind Amy❤️🕊️🎶
