Thomas's obituary
Thomas Schultz, 59, of Frankfort, IL, formerly of Ellijay, GA passed away on June 1, 2023.
Thomas was born on January 21, 1964 to John and Barbara Schultz in Chicago, IL. Tom was the fourth of seven surviving children. He went to Andrew High School in Tinley Park, IL and continued his education at University of West Georgia where he played football.
After college Tom loved to work with his hands and became a contractor to rehab houses. He was truly a jack of all trades and could fix anything in a house. Tom was an artist when it came to carpentry and painting homes. He helped paint many of his family’s homes and somewhere in the wall he would sign his work “Uncle Tom”.
Tom loved to bowl and you would often find him at leagues helping everyone out except the ones he came with. In addition to bowling, he enjoyed golfing, football, boating and camping. No matter where Tom lived, he remained an avid Chicago Bears and White Sox fan. He also spent many hours watching car restoration shows. Tom was always the life of the party and brightened the moods of everyone. He always had a joke or a story to tell and could impersonate anyone or anything. Tom will truly be missed by all!
Thomas is preceded in death by his father John and sister Elizabeth. He leaves behind to carry on his memory his loving children Austin (Lindsey) Schultz Croom, and Gabrielle Schultz; his devoted mother Barbara Schultz; grandchildren Crawford and Collins; siblings John (Nancy) Schultz, Timothy (Pamela) Schultz, Katherine (Dick Messino) Schultz, Mary Schultz, Terrence (Jennifer) Schultz, and Patrick (Lisa) Schultz; many nieces, nephews, cousins, great nephews and great nieces, and many friends.
