Thomas's obituary

Thomas R. Davis passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024, in Palm Desert, Ca.  He was 84 years old.

Thomas Roy (Berriman) Davis was born in Grass Valley on July 15, 1939, and lived in Sacramento until retiring to Indian Wells, Ca in 2010. After graduating from Sacramento State University in Accounting in 1968, Tom started a career in Public Accounting, which lasted 40 years.  He was a  founding partner at Gordon, Odom, & Davis, Inc., who later merged with Moss Adams in 2002.  Tom was also an active member of the 20-30 Club in Sacramento, Ca.

In 1976, he married Nancy Marie (Deen), (Petersen), (Flint), and remained with her until her death on December 10, 2018.  They had a 42 year marriage.  Tom often credited her for creating a happy home and providing the moral support he needed to build a successful career. Tom enjoyed reading, traveling, and golf, and was President of the Valley Hi Country Club in Sacramento in 1989.  At Valley High Country Club in Sacramento, CA, Tom scored a hole-in-one in 2008, and shot a perfect round of 72 in 1982.

He was a kind, loving, and generous man, and will be deeply missed by his family and many friends and business associates. He is survived by his step-brother, Paul, and stepson, Jeff Flint.  God bless Tom Davis, and his loving wife, Nancy Davis, and may they rest in peace.
