It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Parton, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who peacefully departed this world on July 31, 2023. Thomas was born in 1934 in Millers Creek, North Carolina. His journey through life was filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.

A man of great integrity and unwavering kindness, Thomas was a pillar of strength for his family and a beacon of compassion for all who knew him. He dedicated his life to his loved ones and served as a source of inspiration and support to those around him.

Thomas was a true family man, cherishing the time spent with his beloved wife of 56 years, Joanne. Their enduring love and devotion were evident to all who witnessed the way they cared for each other. Thomas was a devoted father to 7 children, Glen, Matt, Mel, Sherry, Judy, Glennis, and Candy, and a loving grandfather to over 30 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His love for his family knew no bounds, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and happiness.

Throughout his life, Thomas touched the lives of countless friends and community members. His warm smile and genuine interest in others made him a cherished confidant and companion. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated, leaving a mark on their hearts.

Thomas's passions in life included playing guitar and singing. He was known for his youthful heart, and his vibrant presence brought joy to every gathering he attended.

In addition to his role as a devoted family man, Thomas was an active member of the Kingdom Hall. He dedicated his time and talents to helping those in need and making a positive impact on the lives of others.

As we bid farewell to Thomas, we are comforted by the legacy of love, kindness, and generosity he leaves behind. His spirit will forever live on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his memory will continue to inspire us all.

A funeral service to celebrate Thomas's life will be held on August 6 at 10 AM at the Kingdom Hall. Family and friends are invited to gather and share their memories of this remarkable man.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Thomas's honor.

Thomas Parton's presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but his impact will endure for generations to come. May he rest in eternal peace.
