Thomas's obituary
Thomas Nichols, 69, of North Fort Myers, FL, passed away on July 15, 2022 after an unpredictable battle with heart failure.
Thomas was born on June 15, 1953 to John and Sophie Nichols in Niagara Falls. After graduating from McKinley Vocational High School in 1970, he went on to join the Navy at the age of 17. For the next 4 years of his military career, he served in Vietnam where he witnessed tragedy and suffered heartache in losing many of his own friends in the war. In 2001, he met Lori Ann Rangel, and they got together, going on to have 2 children, Krystal and Dillon. Thomas was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. He was unendingly proud of Krystal and Dillon always tried his best to support them.
Thomas was also a passionate about locksmithing and could often be found helping people locked out of their homes or cars when he wasn’t at home.
Anyone who knew Thomas knew that he was the most loving father a family could ask for. Thomas was predeceased by his many grandparents, many aunts and uncles and mother and father. He is survived only his two children.
