Tom's obituary
Thomas Andrew McGraw of Baltimore, Maryland passed away at his home on February 8th, 2026 at the age of 77. He was born on October 6, 1948 to William Thornton and Eleanor Frankye McGraw in Monkton, Baltimore County, Maryland. After graduating from Hereford High School, he served in the Army during the Vietnam War. Upon his return, he moved to the Hampden neighborhood of Baltimore City (where he lived since the early 1970s) and worked for the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement. Tom was a long time member of Hampden United Methodist Church and served their food pantry every Wednesday morning after his retirement.
A true child of God, Tom was most passionate about his faith and serving his community. He loved animals, especially dogs, spirited political debates, the Baltimore Ravens, and getting together with his many siblings. He is survived by his siblings Frank McGraw (Elinor), Ellen Killmer, Malcolm McGraw (Chae), Lawrence McGraw (Patty), William McGraw, and Mary McGraw Matthew (Edward M.) alongside many beloved nieces and nephews: Amy McGraw (Julie), Susan McGraw Boyd (John), Leslie Keeney (Dan), Jeanie Killmer, Greta Killmer, Heather Killmer (Jon), Jon McGraw (Leah) James McGraw (Marilyn), Jason McGraw (Shelly), Frederick Matterson, Bernadette McGraw-Hadden (Gregg), Beverly McGraw, Christopher McGraw (Kim), Brian McGraw (Jenna), Holly Genovese, and Zachary Matthew. Tom was pre-deceased by his parents William and Eleanor, his beloved sister Janet Merritt (Vernon), his brother in law Arthur Killmer and his nieces Constance Matthew (Edward) and Cheri Wyckoff (Kent).
