Beyond the definition of a great friend, Tom was deeply proud of his family and children, speaking of them often. They were at the center of his heart and his purpose, and the love he carried for his family was evident in both his words and the way he lived. The impact Tom had on my life, and on the lives of so many others, will last far beyond this moment of loss. 

He taught by example, showing how to care deeply, be fully present, and offer support without hesitation. The kindness, loyalty, and heart he gave so freely to others will continue living on through everyone he touched. 

Thomas “Tater Tot” McDermott will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and never forgotten. His legacy lives not only in the memories we hold close, but in the way he inspired all of us to be better friends, better teammates, and better people.

Though his absence leaves behind an irreplaceable void that words cannot fully capture, his impact remains undeniable and everlasting.
