Thomas's obituary
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas "Tom" Mantesta on August 13, 2023. Born on December 22, 1955, Tom was known by many for his outgoing and social personality, always lighting up the room with his vibrant spirit and gift of "Gab". He expressed great pride and joy in his family, making them his greatest accomplishment in life.
Tom leaves behind his beloved daughter, Ashley Cooper and his son, Thomas Mantesta Jr,. Their mother, and Thomas's ex-wife and best friend, Julie Lovett, also survives him. His son-in-law, Jon Cooper, who has been an integral part of the family, mourns his passing as well. Also leaving behind his sisters Carol Mantesta, Joanne Mantesta , and brother William Mantesta.
Blessed with a vibrant brood of grandchildren, Tom was incredibly fond of every one of them. Abigail Patterson, Aiden Cooper, Ayla Cooper, Addilyn Cooper, Hannah Mantesta, Gauge Pyle, Olivia Mantesta, Alyssa Mantesta, and Gavin Mantesta will dearly miss their beloved grandfather's presence in their lives.
He was predeceased by his mother, Linda Mantesta, his father, John Mantesta, his brothers , John Mantesta Jr. Their memory continued to live on in Tom's heart, and he now rests with them in peace.
Tom lived by the adage, "love one another", and taught those close to him to live by this rule as well. He was a man who lived life to the fullest, and fishing held a special place in his heart as a favored recreational activity.
The delightful spirit of Tom Mantesta will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. His love for life and the warmth he extended to everyone around him will remain in our hearts. His lessons about love and his joyful spirit will continue to inspire those he has left behind.
