My condolences to Thomas' family and friends. We worked together for many years at CCC, and I valued his humor, knowledge, and genuine care and concerns for all students he served. I will keep you in my prayers.
I was so glad to have been with him last November. Although he was starting to decline he never complained. He and Ellen took me to the falls. Tom couldn’t wait to share that with me. I will always remember his sense of adventure and his love of nature. He always had a wicked sense of humor. I will hold him in my heart forever. R.I.P. big brother.
Here's a page from my scrapbook. When I was in college at Gonzaga, my dad and I drove from Spokane, WA to Glacier to go snowshoeing. We significantly underestimated both the amount of snow to expect and the skill and gear needed. We didn't make it to the top of whatever ridge we were trying to climb, but it was still a great adventure.
This is the last photo of my dad and I together. His last big adventure was to see the Soo Locks with me in February of this year. The guard at the locks thought we were nuts braving a snow storm with 40mph winds to get this picture. .
