I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Tom, my first sales leader at Pepsi. His impact on my career and life was impactful, and I want to express my heartfelt condolences to you during this difficult time.

Tom was not just a mentor; he was an early guiding force that shaped the trajectory of my professional journey. His unwavering commitment to discipline and success left an indelible mark on me, not only in my Burnsville Pepsi days but also in every facet of my life. The lessons he taught me are treasured memories that I still hold close.

Looking back, I am filled with immense gratitude for the invaluable knowledge and guidance Tom shared with me. Our bond was more than a professional connection; it was a relationship built on trust. Tom gave me more than I could ever repay him, and his belief in my potential still resonates within me today.

To the family, I want to convey my sincerest apologies for your loss. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tom was a great man who loved hard. I am lucky to have known him.Tom (and his wonderful wife, Jackie) raised my sister-in-law to be one of the kindest, sweetest, and most giving people I know. Tom was always welcoming of my family. He genuinely loved life, and he always put his girls first. He lives on through his wife, his 3 daughters, and his 2 grandchildren. Tom leaves behind a legacy of love. We'll miss you Tom! Help the Vikings out this year. SKOL!

I am very sorry that Tom has passed. My thoughts and prayers are with Tom’s family. Even though I really only knew Tom through Pepsi I have come to know how he loved his family and they had become his top priority through the years he worked at Pepsi.

I was the person who actually hired Tom on at Pepsi and I actually worked with him side by side in the last few years of mine and his career at Pepsi. Together we grew and changed with Pepsi through the years. He was a good friend as well as a co-worker. Tom has etched his memory into my life and thoughts and will never be forgotten by me!!! I would only hope his family and friends would dwell on all the good things Tom accomplished and the happy memories he provided. There are plenty for myself . Loved you lots Tom and Enjoy your life everlasting.

Heard tonight about the passing of Tom.  We both were on the our companies respective reset teams (I Coke and him Pepsi) and worked directly together for 5 days a week for many months doing Holiday store resets.

He was a hard worker who was dedicated, passionate, and seemed very loyal. We enjoyed talking about the Twins and family. Our time together was brief, but it was long days and good conversations over those few months were we worked together nearly every day, 5 days a week.

I miss going over planograms and moving shelves together in random backroom coolers. It's the little things can sometimes create the biggest lasting memories.

RIP Tom,

Bob Klein

Oh sweet Tommy,  how our hearts hurt to know you have passed on! How blessed the angels are to see that mischievous smile and flash of those eyes! Jim and I send hugs to Jackie and the girls.  Also big hugs to his family.  Love too you all!

I am filled with mixed emotions as I write this because on one hand I am deeply saddened to say goodbye to a friend  but I am also relieved/encouraged that Tom is now free from pain and suffering and is home with the Lord.

I will never forget that first night we met in our new neighborhood and how we hit it off just talking about life and having some beers on the tailgate of the truck until late into the evening (I think at the time much to Jackie’s chagrin).

Tom and I shared many parallels in life through the years with starting our families, working in the trades, loving deer hunting  and of course sports…particularly football.

I have experienced every emotion a human can have knowing this man and would not trade a single moment as I am forever grateful for the awesome times we have had together.

Jackie, Kelsey, Samantha, Rachel……you all know our hearts and prayers are with all of you in this difficult time and we want you to know that you can reach out to Kelly or I anytime if you need anything.

I again will leave you with the scripture that I hope brings you comfort….

Psalm 34:18 says….The Lord is near to the broken-hearted. And saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Blessings on your family!

I am Tommy’a sisters friend and haven’t seen Tommy for years. I remember what a wonderful person Tommy was!  So kind and a bit of a fun smart ass. 😀I can only imagine how much he loved his wife and children. Family was so important to Tommy - I felt it!  He always had that great smile. I’m so sad for the empty spaces that remain in his physical absence here on earth.   The void is real when we love. May you all be comforted by the love of God,  your family, and friends.
Many great memories working with Tom at Pepsi, my thoughts and prayers to the Lauer family!
You will be missed Tommy.  You were the spoiled one when you lived with us and got to do more than me when we were kids even though you were younger.   Give mom a hug.  Love you
To my little brother....you will be deeply missed. Rest in piece my friend.
Fly high Tommy, you will be missed.  Give mama Margaret a hug.
Bob & I are saddened to hear that Tom passed. Our condolences to the Lauer family. Keeping you in our thoughts & prayers.

I was incredibly sad to hear the news. My deepest sympathies go out to Tom's family. Tom was well known and loved by the staff at BTCU. He always walked in with a smile. He was personable, funny and overall, just a good human. He always spoke highly of his family, daughters especially. He will definitely be missed.

You fought a hard fight, rest easy Tom.

Far too young for a good man to pass. Working with Tom made the work more enjoyable.
