Thomas Keane, 81, passed away on June 30, 2025, in Rocky Point, New York. Born on November 28, 1943, in New York City. Tom and his wife Margaret shared a long life together and died on the same day, just hours apart.

 He was a U.S. Navy veteran who served aboard the USS Little Rock and enjoyed reconnecting with shipmates at annual reunions.

After his military service, Tom worked as a police officer and later as a special education teacher’s assistant. He valued hard work and showed up for the people who needed him.

He is survived by his children Christopher, Lauren, Elisabeth, George, and Andrew, and grandchildren Laurel, Daniel, Madelyn, Oliver, and Maeve.  

He loved to cook, had a soft spot for animals, and appreciated a good book and a quiet evening at home.

Tom will be remembered in many ways by those who knew him.
