Thomas is my nephew and him and his mom and 2 sisters lived with my family back in the 70's. I had an upholstery shop at the time and Thomas would help me in the shop.  When his family moved back to Kansas, Thomas and I had our last conversation, in the shop, and he asked if he could come back later when he was older so I could teach him to be an upholsterer. I told him I would be honored.  I will always have that memory in my heart.

A bunch of us from IBEW Local Union 824 went to the Firehouse Pub today and we raised a glass in Tom's honor.

We are still missing him. IBEW Local Union 824.
On 10/2 several of us Union brothers and sisters went to the Firehouse and we raised a glass in Tom's memory. Tom loved the Firehouse cold beer and hot wings. We also recognized him at our general meeting that night. He is never far from our thoughts. All of us at IBEW Local Union 824 miss him dearly.

I was looking up the sour cream cucumber salad I made to share for dinner out at Fort DeSoto campground. Tom grilled food. He was so happy I made that salad, and said I could bring it to any gathering. I was looking up the recipe today, and burst into tears. I never knew that would be the last meal I'd share with Tom. I didn't know that six hours after we left the campsite, he would have passed over to the other side. He was a good friend in so many ways. I hope he is eating sour cream cucumber salad to his heart's content.

Cyndi and family,

I was privileged to serve with Tom on the Executive Board for Local Union 824. Tom always opened my mind to new ways of thinking , when my view was narrow his was wide and all encompassing. Friend, Union brother, drinking buddy, shoulder to lean on, leader the list goes on. What I wouldn’t give to have one more cold one at the Firehouse with my friend. God bless and sorry for your loss.
