Thomas James Gokey, age 36, passed away unexpectedly in Roan Mountain, Tennessee on Monday, January 1, 2024. 

Thomas was born on September 25, 1987 in Hanover, New Hampshire. He was the son of Christine Ann Sendo and James Edwin Gokey. 

Thomas was a beloved husband and father. Left to cherish his memory by his wife Yesenia Gokey and father to his daughters Nevaeh, Jianna, and Azariah; brothers Joshua and Jacob; sisters Hannah and Rachel. Several extended family members also survive. 

Thomas was best known for his hard work ethic and giving spirit. He always found ways to make others laugh through humor. Thomas was a protector for all the ones he loved and cared about. He was a faithful and loyal husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, nephew/nephew-in-law grandson-in-law, and friend. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed time with family, friends, and enjoyed fishing. He was the Director of Operations/Manager at Dobier Disaster Restoration where he worked for 10 years.

Thomas' loved ones have ensured his legacy will live on through organ and tissue donation, and through that generous decision, He will touch countless others as the family members, friends and communities of those who receive his donated organs and tissue will be forever impacted by their improved quality of life, made possible through these selfless gifts. Thomas gave in death as he gave in life.
