Uncle Tom, just wanted to let you know how much I love you. It's a real honor to carry your name.  Anytime I would come visit Uncle Tom I remember him by his sense of humor. Even in silence, you were the funniest one there. Forever in our hearts, rest easy. ❤️❤️

So many great memories with Tom. From camping outside of Big Sir, hanging out in the RV for a couple days in Coloma, or just watching football together during the holidays, Tom was always great to just “hang” with. Tom’s jokes were always a little interesting, but they were good because I still laugh when I think of them to this day : )Tom was a great man that many looked up to including my wife Camille, and our 3 kids. We all loved Tom’s presence and having the assurance that he would make certain events or get togethers would go just right. We are going to miss Tom on this earth and yet I am comforted to know that we will see him again in the not too distant future!
The pictures Cali posted show I think better than anything how genuinely loving Papa was of us from the time we were little. He always gave the biggest hugs and he was one of the few adults that as a kid I didn’t just see as being a boring old adult. Everywhere he went, his lighthearted and high-spirited energy lifted everyone’s mood. I love him so much and will miss him but I’m happy to know that his time on earth was spent loving others and not taking things too seriously.

Dearest Family,

What a beautiful tribute to Tom.

We got to learn more about him and the love he shared for animals as well as his family.

Very heartfelt and love filled.

Deepest sympathy,

NormaPerkins  and Tom Pifer

So long, Tom.  Just barely met you and you were gone.  So sorry for the pain you must have endured, glad I got to meet you.  🙏 glad your pain is over. Peace be with you.
I grew up with Tom, Tom was my nephew of exactly three years younger. We spent time on the farm in the 1950's, they moved to Omaha, my parents and me followed about six years later. Spent  lots of time in Omaha. They then moved to Kansas City, where we spent several holidays together. His family moved to LA, where we visited several times in his high school days.  We both ended up in Livermore, Ca. in 1972, ended up living together, riding motorcycle's and being bachelors.  I got married and Tom moved to Lake Tahoe.  We started a building company in 1979 in Incline Village, building homes, drywalling and trying to make ends meet.  We moved to Coeur d'Alene, Id. in 1980.  Started a building business together, but Tom didn't like Idaho, so he moved back to the Bay Area and he got married a short time later.  We spent our birthdays together  last year, we celebrated in Tucson, then went to Scottsdale and celebrated two more times. Great time.  Anyway, Tom was my nephew, my business partner and my best friend.  I will miss him dearly.   Thanks Tom for being who you are.  Love Uncle Wendell
