Mike and I were deeply sorry to hear about Tom's passing. Many great memories sharing tales of flying machines,  all things mechanical, and grand adventures.  We're sure Tom is continuing to learn and tinker  in Heaven.  RIP dear Tom. Our love to his beautiful Cindy and family.

Here is a Facebook reel I put together from a nightlapse I had going on the night of the 3rd - going into the morning of the 4th. This was the first time the Aurora had moved directly over the house like this, typically it stayed farther off towards the North!

It would not let me post this as a video - so posting here! Also - apologies about the date (22 vs 23), I am not good with dates and names...

Tom’s comments on this photo. “ This is the YS-11 cockpit. A Nihon airplane built in Japan. It had two Rolls Royce engines and Dowty Rotol propellors. Piedmont Airlines flew these in the US. I flew it as Captain for 2 years. I was also an instructor pilot on this airplane.”
