Still miss you Tom!! You were such a joy in our lives!
We were just talking about Tom the other day. He spent his life spreading joy and the love of Jesus. He was so much fun and we never stop missing him
I was so sorry to hear about Thomas's passing. He was such a sweet man and a wonderful husband. His military record was excellent and he loved the Corps. Most of all, he loved his family. He never met a stranger and he always had a smile ready for everyone. He was a God-loving man and it was visible in his deeds and his words.

The first time I met Tom was at the shoe store in Downtown Vista. I went there to interview Tom for an article I was writing for the VistaPress.com.

Tom was busy assisting a young woman who was trying to get an old purse repaired. He kindly and patiently explained to her why the purse could not be repaired.

I could not help but overhear the conversation as I stood waiting in the small lobby-like area. I was impressed at his demeanor. He genuinely wanted to be helpful. His good nature and honestly stood out.  I immediately liked him and understood why my editor wanted me to do the article.

I saw Tom at quite a few events in the years that followed. He was a leader in the community and well respected by all who crossed his path.

Tom was the loving husband of Terry, who was my son's day care angel for 8 years.  I remember as I would come to pick up my son at their home Mon - Fri, Tom would be coming in from work, greeting the parents of Terry's kiddos with a warm smile, a kind "hello" and "how ya doing!"  I was so blessed to have found this family to care for my son on a weekly basis.  Tom, Terry and Trish were truly my son's 2nd family and a family to so many other Vista children.  A giving & loving family like no other.  God Bless Tom and may he rest eternally with our Lord & Savior.  He & Terry will be missed and thought of often.  In our hearts forever, Ann Melton Giangiulio & son, Dar Melton
I joined a widow(er)s group in my time of grief over the loss of my husband. Tom was so kind to me & seemed to really have it all together. I was a mess. I could barely handle this new day to day. Although I couldn't muster up the energy to even keep meeting with the fine folks I met in the group, Tom continued to check on me. No pressure. Just kindness. I was unable to cope like it seemed the others were doing so well. I just figured that my grief was too fresh for me to be able to acclimate to the group. Then Tom mentioned that he lost his wife the same year that i lost my husband. It kind of floored me. He didn't seem angry with the world anymore. Maybe he never was. But i was. To see Tom coping so well gave me the hope i needed in order to carry on & take care of my kids & to continue living. He really was an inspiration & the kind soul that i needed. I am forever grateful to have met him. My condolences to your family.
Tom came into my life a few years ago thru the YANA program. It wasn't long before we became good phone friends, and I always looked forward to his friendly voice each morning. Bless you, Tom, and thank you for being there for me, and others in similar situations. Your mortal light may have dimmed but your caring heart will be remembered forever.

I am so sorry for your loss.  He was a great man and a servant to all.   He ran an honest business and did great work.   I was sorry the day the building was changed.  He was a source of great joy.  We shared some common thread as I too lived in Arkansas and continue to have contact with Christian friends there.  May God Bless You All

Pastor Phil Clark

A bright light in a dark world. He didn’t just repair shoes — he repaired hearts.

I’d only knew Tom this past year, but quickly became friends. I met him while at the senior luncheons at church, with his widows and widowers group. I so enjoyed our conversations each time, and I will surely miss him.
Tom touched my life with his Faithfulness to God, his Loving Kindness towards others, and his Giving Heart that looked after so many at church and in the community.
With Loving Thoughts of a Godly Man,
Nadine
There are no better people than Tom and Terry!  Terry watched my girls in their home for about 10 years and they would always want to stay with Terry instead of coming home with me. Over those 10 years we also got to see and get to know Tom as he would come home from working at his shop.  He was always glad to see and talk to the kids that Terry watched.  What an amazing, kind, generous family. We have missed Terry greatly over the last few years and now Tom will be missed as well.  🥰
Please know that we pray for you and Tom's family. We will miss him and keep his memory in ourhearts. He was a special friend and a talented craftsman, he kept me in cowboy boots and repaired my holsters and gunbelts. I will miss his "country" humor and his dedication to helping people especially with our Sr. Patrol.
May the Lord have a specal place for him as he earned it while he was here!

God Bless,
Henrietta & Jerry Black

I treasure the time that Our Lord shared Tom with us. He was a wonderful friend if we ever needed to talk, very caring and compassionate. Loved a good laugh too!! Tom took great pride in leading our Life Group and he will always have a seat with us. Most of all I know how much he loved his family and how proud he was of them all. A few weeks back he made the comment that he hoped he would be remembered as a good man who loved his family and the Lord. I believe he more than accomplished this. We love you Tom, Mary Margaret

Tom was like a dad to me all my childhood. He continued to give me loving words of encouragement and support thruout my life. I will miss him dearly. Such a sweet, good man with a huge heart who taught me what a realan is like. I'm so blessed to have had him in my life.
