Staff Sergeant Thomas Austin Elder 78, of Perris California passed away after a long battle with cancer. Thomas was born September 5, 1943 to James and Anita Elder in Brooklyn New York, who preceded him in death. After his graduation from high school at the age of 17, he enlisted in the Army and served for 4 years.

his life, Earnestine D. Dinkins of Rembert South Carolina.

Thomas served 4 years in the Army and then cross trained In to the US Air Force where he served for 18 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping , Bowling and doing handy work for neighbors and friends.

Predeceased by his Mother and Father (James and Anita), a sister; Elizabeth (Robert} Young and his brother,James Elder Jr of Queens, New York.

He leaves to cherish his memory; 4 children: LaShon Jaramillio, Ft Worth Texas, Thomas D.Elder Jr, Perris California, Ginnifer L. M. Elder, Rembert, South Carolina, Kenneth (Toviea Greer) Elder, Winnsboro North Carolina, a very special niece, Charlene (Anthony) McClellen of Atlanta Georgia;
