Thomas's obituary
Thomas Phillip Driver, known to many as “Phil,” passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 73. Born on March 3, 1952, in Pensacola, Florida, he was the fourth child of Earby Clifton Driver and Wilhelmina Carrier Driver.
Phil touched numerous lives with his kindness, steady spirit, and unending love for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother David Driver.
Phil was one of those rare individuals whose presence could light up an entire room. His kindness was boundless and he prioritized the welfare of others before himself. This characteristic was reflected in his strong spirit, his patience, and his ability to uplift those around him. He was a true pillar of support for his family and friends and his departure has left a void that is impossible to fill.
Committed to the well-being of others, Phil chose to donate his body to science in the hopes that his contribution could aid medical research and help others. His altruistic nature shone even in his departure, setting an inspiring example for all who knew him.
The celebration of Phil Driver's life will be held at a later date, wherein we will come together to remember not just his generous personality and steady spirit, but also the countless contributions he made to the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know him. He may not be with us in person any longer, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of the numerous lives he touched.
We extend our deepest condolences to his family and friends and all who mourn his loss.
