Thomas's obituary
Thomas Gary Curley, age 68, unexpectedly passed away on November 2, 2024, in LaFargeville, NY. Born on September 7, 1956, in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Thomas was known for his warm nature as a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend. An avid fisherman, he cherished the outdoors and was equally passionate about traveling.
Thomas graduated from Bangor High School and furthered his education at Votech, where he acquired skills that paved the way for a diverse career. He dedicated many years as a bus driver for Easton Coach, was a certified electrician, and most recently, worked at Fort Drum in New York. Beyond his professional life, Thomas was a gifted individual with hobbies that included woodworking, painting, gardening, and cooking, each of which reflected his meticulous and creative spirit.
He is survived by his children, Benjamin Curley, Michael Curley, and Kristin Curley; his sister, Abigail Sebring and her husband David; his nephews Daniel Wackerman, Robert Curley, and Patrick Curley; and his grandsons, Grayson Mathes and Cameron Mathes. He will also be missed by his girlfriend, Jeanne Mottis, who he lived with in New York. Thomas was preceded in death by his sisters, Ellen Curley and Patricia Curley; his brother, Robert Curley Jr; and his parents, Robert Curley Sr and Beverley Curley.
As per his wishes, no services will be held. Thomas will be remembered for his kindness, his enduring sense of humor, and the love he shared with those around him. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
