Thomas's obituary

Thomas J. Cormier, Sr., 67 of Dalton, passed away July 5, 2025 at home. Born in Pittsfield on June 16, 1958, he was the son of the late Ernest and Evelyn Rheaume Cormier.

He attended Pittsfield High School. Mr. Cormier was a painter, having been employed by Renzi Painting, General Electric, and was a union painter.

He enjoyed woodworking and was a history buff. Thomas also liked riding his bike on the bike trail and going to Mt. Greylock. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by his children, Ticia Cormier of Dalton, Thomas Cormier, Jr. of Pittsfield, Timothy Cormier of Pittsfield, and Travis Cormier of Dalton. His brother, David Cormier of Washington, sister, Sheila Darling of Punta Gorda, FL, and brother, Larry Cormier of Hinsdale. He also leaves his six grandchildren, Chloe, Gracie, Gavin, Elaina, Ryan and Kaylyn. He was predeceased by his siblings, Richard, Phillip, Linda, and Danny.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours will be held, Saturday, July 19, 2025 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St, Dalton.

There will be a Celebration of Life held, Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 1 to 4 p.m. at 100 Ryan Road, Washington, MA. All are welcome to attend both.
