Tommy's obituary
Thomas Bright (Tommy), 57, passed on March 18, 2022. Thomas was born on April 04, 1964 in Greenville County, but reside in Liberty, SC with his wife Brandy Lanclos-Bright. They raised six children together, and Tommy had two children in his first marriage. Chad Alexander, Casi Davis, Courtney Lanclos (Alan), Nikki Wilson, Alexis Garrett (Brandon), Zackery Evans, Brooklyn Evans, and Haley King. If anyone knew Tommy, they knew his grandbabies. He always loved time with his grandchildren, Brentley Mauldin, Jaxxten Mcwhite, Mavric Dexter, Megan, Morgan, Caylee Alexander, Chase, and Bryce Davis.
Tommy was a son to Jolene Bright (Deceased) and Walter Bright (Deceased). He loved his grandparents and would always talk about his grandma’s house. Tommy is a grandson to Zora (Deceased) and Wiley Bright (Deceased), and a brother to Shirlene Bright, Gail Jackson, and Wanda Bright (Deceased). Tommy was an all-time favorite uncle, and loved his nieces, and nephews. Tommy had five nieces, and nephews Hunter, and Courtney Coffin, Tyler Staggs, Jessica, and Jennifer Devall.
Tommy had a long hard fight. As many know he fought with medical issues for some time. Tommy fought hard, and never gave up. March 18, 2022, He won his fight, but unfortunately due to unknown medical reasons he gained his beautiful wings.
Tommy was a graduate from Laurens District 55 High School, Class of 1983. Tommy spent most of his childhood, and teenage years at Thronwell. Tommy met many, many friends at Thronwell who he had always looked at as brothers and sisters. While living at Thornwell Tommy met a wonderful woman who he always said saved him and was like his mother Mrs. Wilma Church.
Tommy was a superintendent with Spectrum for at least five years. Tommy was a dedicated, and hard worker. Spectrum treated Tommy like family, and he always felt like family. Spectrum always looked out for Tommy as they all felt like family.
One of Tommy's favorite hobbies was to bowl. Tommy was in a bowling league for years before he got sick. Tommy set a goal of a 300. Before he knew it, he completed his goal, and kept going to try for a perfect score. Tommy was also a huge NASCAR fan, and loved to race go karts when he wasn't watching the race. Tommy was well known and loved by his go-kart racing buddies. He loved his track he built with some help in his own front yard. Every Sunday was his favorite time. RACE TIME!
Tommy always said he will see us in our next life.
