I've been struggling to write this, but as I see this tragedy today in Baltimore with the destruction of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, my first thought is of you Tom. I want to call and hear your voice tell me, "Grant, this is a disaster, just a disaster." How we shared so many stories from our own careers from marine insurance to computer hacking craziness.I'm grateful for the 26 years we were friends. The stories are so unbelievable, I have trouble believing them myself when I re-tell them. From the summer of 97 when I watched you meticulously rebuild the engine on your ford thunderbird until that day I sat your car. You pressed the gas pedal and kept saying "listen to how she purrs, I bet you thought I wasn't going to get her back together". Only two later your car was a burned out shell from the faulty multi-switch on the steering column (the engine survived the fire).

As I went back through an old computer tonight to dig out videos from our conversations over Signal, it just made me appreciate our friendship that much more. That last conversation in that Signal before I switched phones was over the Nordstream pipeline and who really blew it up. How I miss those great conversations for hours.

People loved you, or they hated you. There was very little in-between, however we were friends from the time we met. Thanks so much for that time, you will be surely missed.  As you always used to say, "love ya brother." -G

I was honored to have worked with Tom for six years at AIG. Tom was a dear friend who was dependable and trustworthy. Regardless of the task Tom always strived to find a solution. We enjoyed our conversations on complex issues related to marine claims. One of many highlights working with Tom was traveling together to Thailand and meeting our team members in South East Asia.  I believe that friendship was the heart of our relationship.  Here is a brief article that I will share with you

Quote

"The enduring bonds of long friendships often start out as simple connections. Whether they’re forged in childhood, at school, at work, or through mutual connections or hobbies, those connections evolve into something deeper over time, fortified by shared memories, laughter, tears, and countless conversations.

These long-lasting friendships can feel like priceless treasures, but they also require effort. Maintaining contact, making time for one another, and celebrating milestones together are essential — as is allowing space when other aspects of our lives inevitably demand our attention.

Although life’s challenges can test the strength of these bonds, true friends weather the storms together. In the end, long friendships endure because they give us roots, keep us grounded, and, of course, infuse our lives with joy, support, and a sense of belonging. They remind us that human connections are invaluable, and with care, they can last a lifetime."

Tom, May you be in peace without pain and be with your cherished love ones.

George Boothby

I was so grateful to have Tom as a manager for several years.  He was always supportive, kind and so dependable when anyone needed help. I always enjoyed our conversations on music, movies, and life. I know he is looking down from above right now playing his guitar. My condolences to all of his family and friends, he will truly be missed by so many people.
My very own human Google. Thank you for your mentorship, endless support and showing me to look up whenever I visit the streets of New York. I will forever remember and cherish you and the music you share. Rock and Roll in peace my Friend.
Tom was the most enthusiastic person I know. We developed a close working relationship and rarely a day went by that we were not chatting through the ins and outs of General Average. I really valued his friendship and enjoyed the times we spent discussing music, art and of course politics. I have two prints of his amazing art hanging in my home here in the UK and they now serve as a reminder of Tom and his talents. He used to send me voicemails of songs he was playing on his guitar. When I celebrated my 50th birthday with a festival party Tom made the trip over the Pond. I tried to persuade him to take to the stage and play something for us but later in the evening as we were sitting in my living room he picked up my Baby Taylor guitar and played. He was so good. I was able to catch him on video and I have that as a fabulous memory of him with his great big smile. Tom my friend, rock star and artist, you are missed. I send my condolences to Tom’s family and all his friends.
I wish Tom's family and friends comfort in happy memories during this sad time. He was a wonderful, kind man and will be missed by all who had the privilege and pleasure of knowing him. RIP dear Tom.
My condolences to Tom's family.  I had the pleasure of working with Tom several times when we worked together at AIG through 2016.  He was smart, funny and full of positive energy.  He loved working in the interesting world of marine claims.  He was highly regarded at AI Marine Claims at AIG which was a close-knit group of very experienced marine claim professionals.   He will be missed!
My heartfelt condolences to Tom's family--an entire family with a remarkable and memorable presence in the Ocean Marine industry. Tom always had a smile and a warm hello for all he met. A true professional. He will be missed.
My deepest condolences to Thomas's family. I first met Thomas in Buffalo, NY. Over the years we would find each other, here and there,  and continue our philosophical, spiritual and casual conversations. I love how he would pull out the most hidden thoughts, feelings and curiosities in most he encountered... the ones willing to  seek. A few years ago, I had found him again and we continued where we left off. -You will be deeply missed, Tom. I will forever remember your kindness and your heart for truth and authenticity. I will see you in the hereafter!  Until then, I will be listening for your music.

Tom was my 2nd cousin as my Dad Frank and his Dad Tom were 1st cousins , I have not been in touch or seen Tom since we were children I was  about 8 years old . I can remember being at his first holy communion. And playing with him and a group of our shared cousins along with his friends . Learning of his passing is very sad news , I had become aware of Toms battle with cancer from a family member several months back I have had him in my prayers At this time I would like to extend my deepest condolences to his family his Dad and his stepmom as well as his brothers . Tom will remain in our prayers as will his family .

My deepest condolences to Tom’s family and loved ones.   One did not work in Marine claims at AIG and not know Tom Bradshaw.  Tom was a wonderful colleague and I enjoyed our many interactions over the years,  Tom was always upbeat, patient and kind; a true gentleman.  We had many a laugh over the years.  I called him Tommy Bradshaw and he never complained or corrected me.  He was like that.   Tommy, I know you are in paradise and I know it’s beautiful and filled with music just for you.  Rest in eternal peace and thanks for the memories!
What a beautiful, well lived life…. And now continues with no impedances. You’ve done and seen more than most in this lifetime. My deepest condolences for those that knew him best , rest in peace my dear cousin Thomas.
I am grateful to have been able to know Tom through our work at AIG. I will always remember him as a dedicated, hard-working expert who had a passion for his profession and deep care for his friends and colleagues. My deepest condolences to the Bradshaw family and all of Tom’s loved ones.
