Therese's obituary

Therese (Finnegan) Haberman, 61, beloved wife of 40 years to Ken W. Haberman, passed away on Monday, February 4th, 2019. Born in Malden, MA, she is the daughter of the late Peter and Ruth (Monahan) Finnegan.

Therese grew up in Reading and was a graduate of Reading Memorial High School. She then attended and graduated from Salem State College and received her Master’s Degree in Human Resources at Columbia Southern University. For many years, Therese worked in human resourses at various Fortune 500 companies and had recently retired from Exxon. She was a talented and published writer, enjoying the outdoors, writing poems, music and animals. She especially loved her two devoted dogs, Andy and Finn. Therese also loved to crotchet and made scarfs for everyone in her family. She will be truly missed by her family and her many friends.

In addition to her husband Ken, she is survived by her two loving children: Stephen Haberman and his wife Kate and Jessica Haberman. She is the cherished grandmother of Grace Haberman. Beloved sister of the late Peter Finnegan and his wife Susan Finnegan, aunt to many nieces and nephews and loving friend of many.

Funeral from the Doherty-Barile Family Funeral Home, 11 Linden St., Reading, on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 at 10:30am followed by a Funeral Mass Celebrating Therese’s Eternal Life at Saint Athanasius Church, 300 Haverhill St., Reading at 11:30am. Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Therese’s Family at the funeral home on Friday, February 8th, 2019 from 4 to 7pm. Parking attendants are available.
