"Tweeza" had a light within and today she is a shining star for all to see. Loved her so much.
Twee and I became fast friend…

Twee and I became fast friends when we started working together at the Yoga studio. We would pass notes through our work folders like schoolgirls. She addressed those notes from “Twee”and to “Samalini - the Yogini”, which always made me smile. We used to spend hours at the bakery next door divvying up pastries and insightful conversation. I was so grateful for the wisdom she was willing to share with me, and we had a lot of laughs! She showed up as a friend but also with a mothering kindness that I desperately needed at the time. She had three characteristics that I always admired, and that she inspired me to foster in myself.

The first was her childlike joy for life. She found joy in the smallest of things and didn’t hesitate to show it. I was often struck by how cute and playful she was. I’m sharing a photo she sent me after she got her new haircut. It’s a testament to her cuteness that even though I started going to the same hairdresser, I never came out looking as adorable as she did.

The second was the grace she carried into the world. It amazed me to see how she met every person and every situation with an open heart and without preconceptions. She was one of the most authentic living examples of the characteristics I heard so many yogis striving for. When I am in a conflict with a loved one I channel Twee. I remember the way she talked about her Stevie with so much adoration and it reminds me to give grace to those we love and be grateful for them.

The third characteristic may seem to stand in contrast to the first two, but she also never took any sh** from anybody. She knew how to protect her heart and her loved ones, and knew how to hold a boundary when needed.

I’m heart broken that I can’t just call her now when I need advice or a laugh, but I have been channeling her energy for help for years already, so her inspiration will always be with me. This photo of her has been on my vision board since she sent it in 2020, and it will stay there to remind me to strive for joy and grace.

I saw her welcome people again and again to the studio and their first yoga class. She made people feel at home, cared for.

8 Limbs Yoga Centers - Wedgewood, 35th Avenue Northeast, Seattle, WA, USA

I wish I had a photo to post here but sadly I don't. I knew Theresa from the early years at 8 Limbs. Theresa was hired to manage the Wedgwood studio while I ran the Capitol Hill location. At some point, Theresa became Twee to me. Theresa put her heart and soul into all that she did, she really took care in dealing with matters great and small. She knew everyone's name and made everyone feel so welcomed and at home.

We seriously bonded over the Wedgwood studio and shared our frustration about the old desk, props, noisy heater, etc over coffee at Grateful Bread...and eventually moved to coffee and donuts (and to other topics beyond 8 Limbs) as our friendship grew over 20+ years.

I feel honored to have known Twee for 20+ years and can't imagine Wedgwood without her.

I hope her spirit is content and she is at peace.

I have loved Theresa for over 40 years. She had her own special spirit about her. A framed quote she gave to me that still hangs in my home says "My friend shall forever be my friend and reflect a ray of God to me" I read it often and think of her often. So many memories. My heart is broken. May God bless and keep her always.

All of my memories of Theresa revolve around my time in the Enright family sphere, beginning in the 80's when I met her sister, Kathy Lou.  It was my good fortune to have been included in many large family celebrations as well as small intimate chill sessions.  Every interaction with Theresa was one of love, acceptance, generosity of feeling, gentleness of spirit, so much fun and always ended with the most incredible hug...one that made you feel it from the inside out.  Miss you T.
