I loved going to the Oddities and Curiosities convention with Theresa. We’d enjoy all the weird things and just laugh, pause, side-eye, cringe, etc. We’d buy each other little gifts and giggle over the things we bought. Theresa gave me so many thoughtful gifts. I look around my home and office and think of her. One of the funniest gifts she gave me was a stuffed llama named Spitzy. Spitzy would talk and spit water. We just kept making Spitzy “spit” on each other and our kids and laughing so hard. Theresa, I’m so thankful for all my memories of you. You were such a magical, funny person.

My most treasured memories with Theresa were our Mother’s Days. We’d take a portion of the day to go for an adventure, eat good food, and get tattoos. We have 3 matching tattoos. My favorite one is the squirrel. We both shared a love for squirrels. Mother’s Day won’t be the same without you, my friend.

Theresa was a very special person. Theresa was one of my “safe spaces” where I could be my true, authentic, weird self. She was the best listener. I could share the good, the bad, and the ugly with her and never felt judged for any of it. Theresa was always so supportive. She was the epitome of “Be the woman who fixes another woman's crown without telling the world it was crooked.” I don’t know if I’ve ever met a more kind, sweet, caring person. I loved laughing with Theresa. She had the most amazing sense of humor. I’m going to miss her laughter and hugs the most. What an amazing human!

What a great meal we enjoyed together at “Rigatony’s” in Phoenix. I had a great time with a beautiful family. I was disappointed not to see Theresa this year when Jordyn and Dave came for the baseball tournament this year. I send my most fervent prayers and Gods’ blessings upon your entire family at this difficult time. Your friend always,
Roland. Stevens

Theresa inspired me back in 2001 to support Race For The Cure and enter the event that supports Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation on their 5k walk/Run. Theresa and I entered 2001, 2002 ( in Greeley) & 2006 ( in Denver). Theresa was plugged into the community and shared that with me inspiring me to keep donating and participating in races. I have done a small handful of Race Events over the years and there is great joy we both experienced in supporting a cause, being with friends, and getting some exercise. She was all about it! I saved all my race tags and finisher medals and have branched out to support other causes. I wonder if she saved her race tags as well. It's those feel good memories that we created together that I have never forgotten! Next race I enter...I will dedicate my efforts to my forever friend Theresa- after all...she started me into these events and I will keep her in my memories. Theresa was one of those friends....a kinda of friend that gave inspiration! Kiddos- Your mama was one cool mama.

That smile, that radiated from her, that everyone keeps mentioning- It's so true! Best smile ever! Just seeing her gorgeous smile could make any negativity melt off ya and turn your day around. Theresa had braces, she wanted perfect teeth and she took all the steps to floss inbetween meals with these braces on. She loved going to the orthodontist to pick out her rubberbands for her braces each visit. She loved the color green and carried around this little dental supply bag. I remember her happiness, that big ol' cheeseburger grin...showing her new set of bands on her metal brackets, and then she would do this chomping motion and say" nom, nom, nom, nom" and flash her pearly white choppers with metal and green rubber bands. Those little but mighty memories of her and her personality I wanted to share. She was so proud of her teeth and her smile touched everyone around her. She will forever be missed.

Theresa and I worked at the jail together prior to us both moving to Headquarters. She had a new position and worked the Records front desk. Anytime I walked by, there was ALWAYS a beautiful smile and a warm "hello" from her. Theresa was a wonderful, kind, special person. I send my deepest sympathies to her children, family and friends. Theresa, you were dearly loved, I'll miss you. Rest in Heaven sweet lady.

I have a bicycle she once owned. She sold it to me (way beneath the price she paid for it) in the parking lot at work on a rainy evening. Light blue/silver in color. 24"bike. She offered to sell it to me at low price because I wanted to buy bike for my mom and I was talking about my budget. Theresa is a shorty...my mama is a shorty so the bike size was perfect. Theresa had already bought a new bike when she sold me her old one. My mom still to this day (13 ish yrs later) has this bike that once was Theresa's. I'm sharing this story because she listened when people spoke, she was generous in her heart. She is a good friend and someone I trusted, loyal in her friendship, true in her heart.

Theresa and I took a labor and delivery course at Aims Community College when she was pregnant with her first son Michael "Mike". The course was informative and fun. Giggling here and there. I was asked to be her labor and delivery partner for that special day along with her mom Andrea. That day came in 1999 and she was so ready and excited to meet her baby. I was unable to manage seeing Theresa in labor pain and sat myself outside the door. Theresa's mom was there to provide support. The course definitely didn't prepare me. Once born I came back in the room. Michael "Mike" was just perfect and so beautiful. Theresa was thrilled, happy, and in love with her baby. It was the most beautiful thing to witness- Love, pure love. She loved all her babies....she was devoted, dedicated and just loved on them wanting them to have the best life. Theresa is "one of the good ones"

Theresa was always looking for new recipe ideas and would comb through magazines to discover something different to make for her family and for company potluck! She loved Halloween parties and I remember Kitty Litter Cake that she made and presented in a cat litter box with a (new & clean) pooper scooper to serve with. I remember commented on how well and realistic looking the tootsie rolls looked. Such fun! ( memory from Central Security) Theresa always participated fully in potlucks and everyone was eager to eat her treats. I remember once upon a time ( back in 2013) she brought in all the supplies to make a party appetizer just for fun. She wanted us to try it first before she added it to her favorite list for future potluck. She made Easy, Microwave Brie with Pecans and it was so delicious. Theresa's word was " yummy. " Theresa loved all of her co-workers from her heart and treated us with food, treats, snacks. This Brie with Pecans I have never forgotten. P.S. Theresa was the Queen when making her 7-layer bean dip too! I loved everything my friend made and shared.

Back in the day...when Theresa and I both worked at Central Security, she became fascinated with everything T-Rex. Partly inspired by two movie releases. Jurassic Park in 1993. The Lost World in 1997. These movies inspired halloween costumes in our society and the short/flappy arm were hilarious to us both. She didn't see the ferocious side of T-Rex- she thought of it as cute, potentially cuddly big dino with short flappy, not really useful arms and would giggle.
Theresa, my dear friend was given the nickname T-Rex from that point forward. Year after year- I would say, "what up T-Rex" and the biggest smile would crack on her face. Theresa will forever be T-Rex to me! Just wanted to share a memory here....for her children.

So sorry for this loss! Theresa was such a sweet lady, always stopping to say hi when we passed between shifts at the jail. My heart goes out to all who loved her!

I had the joy of hiring Theresa to the ACSO family and instantly had a connection and bond with her. Theresa's smile always warmed my heart and I looked forward to seeing her each morning where that joyous smile would greet everyone who entered the lobby for service. I will miss you sweet Theresa. Rest in peace my friend.

Theresa and I have worked together for several years. She always smiled and was a joy to be around. She will truly be missed. May God bless your family and especially your kiddos that you loved so incredibly much.

Theresa and I have worked together since she began with ACSO. I was her supervisor for a couple years and was always blown away as to how she could come into work every single day so happy to be here. She always had a positive outlook which helped me through the day. I believe her favorite thing to say was "Today's a wonderful day". I'll miss you Theresa. To Jordyn and "Little David": Know that your mom talked about you both so much and was extremely proud of you.

My condolences to you all and your family during this tragic, difficult time.
