The best present they ever gave me was being my parents. Thanks for everything, Mom & Dad 🩷

It was with great sadness to learn of the death of Doctor and Mrs. The photo I uploaded is in my screensaver slide show. I believe it was our last visit with the Doctor before his retirement. We started seeing him at Maimonides and followed him to Brookdale hospital. My daughter has a developmental disability, and he had such patience and compassion.  It was always a pleasure seeing Dr.  and Mrs. in the office. Always enjoyed our talks about dancing and hockey (although I am a Ranger fan lol). It is very hard to find A doctor with such a wonderful bedside manner.

What beautiful photos and memories! Rich and I loved Ted and Marilyn for so many reasons. Dancing lessons and parties, ballroom thru tango…did them all. Caring, thoughtful, and fun. Theirs is a special love and we have been honored to be part of their lives.
Together again.,.Ted and Marilyn!

By the time I became a fellow in pediatric endocrinology in 1971 the legend of Ted AvRuskin at Boston Children’s Hospital was a legend and always remembered by John Crigler. When I came to chair pediatric endocrinology at Brooklyn’ Maimonides Medical Center I was locally welcomed by Brookdale Pediatric Chairman Dr AvRuskin. Ted was a great clinician, great teacher and a great successor to Pediatric Giant Bela Schick. My condolences to his loving daughters as I always heard Ted talking about his loving wife and children

To the family -

Please accept our sincerest condolences for your loss. Your parents were wonderful correspondents, and we always heard from them during the holiday season. We will miss receiving a thoughtful letter from Ted this year.

Keeping you in our prayers,

Lisa and John Hango

Uncle Ted was always curious about life and what my passions were. Quick with a hug and generous with his time to steal a quiet moment. He will be greatly missed. But his impact will be around our earth for many years to come. Hopefully knowing that the Haslam‘s up north are all sending you lots of love helps in so small way.
