Memorial Service & Celebration of Life

A memorial service to honor the life of Theo Harley “Teddy” Tillery, Jr. will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 1PM held at Moments of Hope Church, 709-A International Drive, Charlotte, NC 28270. The service will be non-denominational and officiated by a local pastor, with eulogies offered by immediate family members. Light snacks, coffee, and beverages will be provided. The memorial service will be open to the public so that all who knew and loved Teddy may join in remembering him.

Following the service, a private reception for family and close friends will be held at The Connery on Providence 4520 Shady Stream Wy, Charlotte, NC 28226. Guests will enjoy food, drinks, and the opportunity to share stories and memories together.

On Saturday, September 13, 2025, the family will gather in Puerto Rico to honor Teddy’s final wishes with the spreading of his ashes in a place that held deep meaning for him.

Attire for all events will be festive with lots of color. There is ample parking available at both venues.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites memorial contributions to be made through the memorial website, where friends and family are also encouraged to share and upload photographs in celebration of Teddy’s life.

Puerto Rico Celebration of Life

The family will gather in Puerto Rico to continue honoring the life of Theo Harley “Teddy” Tillery, Jr. with a weekend of remembrance in the places he cherished most.

On Friday, September 12, 2025, a memorial service will be held at Parroquia San Ramón Nonato, Calle Muñoz Rivera, Juana Díaz, Puerto Rico, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Following the service, friends and family are invited to join in fellowship and festivities at La Plaza de Juana Díaz, where we will share stories, music, and memories in the heart of Teddy’s hometown.

On the morning of Saturday, September 13, the Family will board a bus bound for Rincón, Puerto Rico. There, on the beautiful beaches he so loved, Teddy’s ashes will be laid to rest in the sea—a place of peace and joy for him throughout his life.

Later that evening, we will return to Juana Díaz for a celebration in true Teddy style—a night filled with music, laughter, great food, and the company of those who loved him most. This gathering will be a heartfelt tribute to a man who embraced life fully and brought joy wherever he went.
