Thayes Jean Downs Eldridge passed away on December 22, 2013. Thayes was born to Raymond Stone Downs and Delilah Gibson Downs on January, 18, 1926. She was the 6th of 8 children. Thayes worked various jobs at Lennox Ind. Inc. She married Eugene C. Eldridge on February 25, 1940. Thayes and Gene had one daugher Gena Ann Eldridge Flemmer on Aug. 7, 1963. Thayes and Gene moved from Marshalltown Iowa in June 1978 with Lennox. Thayes loved working at Lennox and regrettably retired in Feb. 1990. She enjoyed good health but ended up the last several years of her life battling dementia. She passed at McKinney Health and Rehab Center in Dec. 2015. Thayes never met a stranger - she loved life and loved people. She could and would talk your ear off. She was survived by her husband, daughter and only grandchild - Jordan Jene Flemmer (Machun).
