It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Thaddeus "Brother Taddai" Burnett, a beloved father, friend, and congregant, who departed this life on the 24th of March, 2024. Thaddeus was born on the 12th of March, 1965, a date that marked the beginning of a life filled with love, strength, and the indomitable spirit of generosity.
Known affectionately as Brother Taddai, but preferring Thaddeus, his loss echoes deeply within our hearts. His pillar of strength will be missed, yet his memory lives on. It stands testament to his love for life, his family, and his faith - acting as a beacon guiding us forward in these somber times.
Thaddeus was predeceased by his treasured children, his daughter Ebony Burnett, and son, John Burnett. He held a special bond with each of them, especially his only daughter, with whom he shared a unique and enviable friendship. Their departure created an unfillable chasm in his heart that is commemorated by all who knew and loved him.
A faithful Attendee at Ebenezer Methodist Church, Thaddeus was known for his love of community. He had a warm presence that was both comforting and nurturing. His faith was a significant part of who he was and guided his way through life's challenges, illuminating his path with hope and grace.
He taught his beloved ones many valuable lessons, the most impactful being, "To be easy on yourself because life is hard enough." This message resonated with his outlook on life and was a testament to his kindness and understanding.
