Thad Grayson Binley

May 14, 1961 - December 21, 2022

Our beloved brother, Thad Grayson Binley, passed away on December 21, 2022, after a swift, fierce battle with leukemia. We are all reeling from the gaping hole left by his passing and experiencing the off-kilter rotation of the Earth now that our dear brother, father, and friend has so suddenly left this place.

To have known Thad and have him be a part of our lives was a true gift. He lived simply and gave abundantly in his gentle, kind-spirited way. Thad blessed so many with his friendship and walked through life with grace. He held a deep love for and devotion to his kids, Cassie and Drake. He dearly cherished his friends and family, and always had the right words of support and wisdom that allowed one to see the splendor of the world as he saw it. In true Thad Binley form, with his last words, he expressed gratitude for his friends and loved ones, and found the strength to insist that he had lived a "great life". Thad was like that- always looking for the beauty and the good in every instance.

Thad leaves behind his children, Cassandra and Drake Binley, and his siblings, Brook, Judd and Wade Binley.  We are each trying to heal, each trying to fill that hole somehow, mostly by reaching out to each other and remembering all the unique aspects of this amazing person and light in our lives.   We know how much Thad was loved by all who knew him.  We are planning two Celebration of Life events; one to be in Laguna Beach in the spring and another to take place in Montana in the summer.  We will provide those dates and times as soon as our plans are finalized.
