passed away on November 4, 2024, in Denver, Colorado.

Born on November 20, 2010, in Colorado, Tesslynn brought light and joy to those around her during her short but meaningful life. Affectionately known as Tess, she was a vibrant and spirited young woman whose presence radiated positivity.

In her 8th grade year, she served as co-captain of the cheerleading team and was elected President of the Student Council—roles that reflected her enthusiasm and natural ability to lead and uplift others. Her passion for performing extended beyond the sidelines; she was also an active member of the school choir during her 7th grade year, where her love for singing shone brightly. Tess’s cheerful nature and caring heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Whether leading a cheer routine or offering a kind word to a friend in need, she carried herself with warmth and compassion far beyond her years.

She is deeply mourned by

her loving mother, Camila Ortiz-Rodriguez; her father, José Rodriguez;

and her sisters,

Jacqueline Ortiz-Rodriguez

and Aziana Ortiz Rodriguez (“Azi”).

Tess also held close the

memory of Brianna Rodriguez (1971–2016), whose presence remained part of the family’s story.

Tesslynn’s life was tragically cut short due to gun violence—a heartbreaking loss not only for her family but for all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Her absence leaves an unfillable space in the hearts of those who loved her.

Tess always brightened up people's day with her lovely unforgettable smile, as she was once nicknamed "The Queen of Making Laughs" in her family and friend circle,

She had a bright future ahead of her, dreaming of becoming an famous singer and actress, and also being able to visit Paris to take pictures and videos in front of the Eiffel Tower and admiring its beauty.

Tess had so much care in animals like wild and her pets, as she would always take care of them!

She had the brightest smile that would make everyone's day better, even when she's not in the exact mood and energy.

Tess tried her hardest to achieve straight A honor roll, and was able to successfully do that during her 7th grade year and beginning of 8th, planning on joining the spelling Bee that would be hosted on December 10th, 2024

she was also really excited to start high school, joining clubs that she had so much interests in joining

Tess would always refer herself as "the laughter" or even "the spelling master"

She would always achieve A's and sometimes B's in her math and English classes

Tess always loved going out with her friends, spending times at parties, and even celebrating her friend's birthdays! She was very social during her early teenage life

Tess always trusted everyone no matter what, as she never believed in bad people but instead always believed that people were good at heart, and had an nice gentle soul

Tesslynn first made her TikTok account on July 29th, 2024,

uploaded her first ever video on August 15th, 2024. even though she wasn't even supposed to have it during that time and had to wait for her 14th birthday in order to get the app, she still had an blast and never really shown her face on the app and kept everything relatively private

Her laughter and smile made hundreds of people's day, even if they never met her before, she made a very strong impact in this area
