Terry Lee Watson was born on August 5, 1962, to Tom F. Watson and Bonnie Massey Watson. He was Baptized in 1974 at the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Moody, Texas. Terry was Confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church as an adult on July 24, 1994 by Pastor Kevin Lentz. On May 19, 1984 Pastor Wayne Pick united Terry and Theresa Draeger Watson in marriage at St. Paul Lutheran Church in The Grove, Texas.

A visitation will take place on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5:00pm - 7:00pm at Scanio-Harper Funeral Home in Temple.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Paul Lutheran Church, The Grove, Texas followed by burial at St. Paul Cemetery, The Grove.

All of Terry’s years of formal education were received in the Moody Independent School District, graduating from there in 1981. Terry then continued life in the work force, working as a plasterer, then for Lone Star Gas Company, and finally retiring from Wilsonart in Temple. Terry will be remembered for many things, two of the tastiest being his mouthwatering briskets and his secret recipe brown beans.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents, Tom and Bonnie Watson; by his father-in-law, DeWayne Draeger; by his brothers Tommy Dwaine and Ronnie Dale Watson; and by two grandchildren, Baby Diaz and Kenlie Nicole Diaz.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Watson, by his daughters Marlena Watson, and Danielle and Tony Diaz; his grandchildren, Alexzander, Anna, and Antany Whisenant, by his brother Ricky Watson; his mother-in-law Lydia Draeger; his sister-in-law Diana Draeger, his brother -in-law Mitchell Draeger and wife Kathy Draeger and by numerous nephews and nieces and friends.

Terry Lee Watson passed away May 20, 2023 at the age of 60 years, 9 months and 15 days. Now through faith in Jesus Christ alone, he lives for all eternity with his, and our, Father in heaven.
