Terry's obituary
TERRY NOREM’S CELEBRATION OF LIFE
Terry and I met while caddying as 12 yr olds. We caddied at the prestigious Greenwich Country Club in Connecticut. We were both sons of corporate executives (who likely pushed us into caddying.) We didn't have to be pushed long when we got $5 per golf bag + tips for 18 holes -big $’s for 12 yr olds in the late 60s! It was hard work but great exercise too.
We later connected again at Greenwich High School and the friendship became a brotherhood. At one point Terry talked his parents into letting me move in with him for several months as I was escaping a difficult situation at home until I got my own apartment.
After High School, Terry attended the Philadelphia University of Arts and also studied art in England. I went in the Air Force and settled in MN after my tour of duty ended there. We re-connected again with visits from Terry to MN where we both scuba dove on a wreck in Lake Superior (as part of a real estate transaction I brokered.) Terry then went from being a professional photographer, to making scuba diving a career. He became a master scuba diver instructor and equipment repair technician. Terry moved to Key Largo Florida where we had memorable dives together, and he got to know my wife Pam better.
Terry moved to Mesa AZ to be near extended family, and we continued to stay in close touch. We would visit him on a regular basis until his untimely death.
Terry had a big heart and is deeply missed!!
