Terry's obituary

Terry Wayne Franklin, 66, of Independence, Kansas peacefully passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021. Terry was born to Willard Roscoe and Myrtle Marie (Newel) Franklin on June 11, 1954 in Marshall, Missouri.

He worked as a truck driver for Heimsoth Agricultural. Terry served in the Army National Guard and was a well-known and respected member of the American Legion Post 139 in Independence, Kansas. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, farming, fishing and hunting.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Lisa Denise Franklin, brothers Sonny, Gerald, and Raymond Franklin, and sister Donna Jean Franklin.

Terry is survived by his son Daniel Franklin of Pocatello, Idaho and daughter Deanna Franklin Williams of Grandview, MO, siblings Harold Franklin of Bosworth, MO, Bobby Franklin and wife Nancy of Norborne, MO, Rick Franklin of Marshall, MO. Darlene Acton of Carrolton, MO, Peggy Nelson and husband Dale of Warsaw, MO, Janet George and husband Todd of Excelsior Springs, MO and Merna Boehmer of Oak Grove, MO and five grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him.
